Welcome to Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival 2026
The Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival is a celebration of connection, music, dancing, and Irish tradition that takes over the town of Lisdoonvarna each September. With roots stretching back more than 160 years, the festival began as a place for people from rural communities to meet and find a match. Today, that matchmaking tradition lives on alongside live music, dancing and plenty of opportunities to meet new people. Whether you’re looking for love, coming with friends, or simply want to experience one of Ireland’s most unique traditions, everyone is welcome.

I enjoyed every moment of it, the pubs the dancing the mingling. I met Willy Daly the local matchmaker and it was great. Met a lot of wonderful people. If you are open-minded and looking for a fun time then this is the place to be. It was everything I thought it would be and so much more. The best craic around !!!!!

I met my love who lives in Lisdoonvarna and we have been together for 2 years now. We attended the matchmaker last night and it's really a lot of fun. I'd recommend all to head to it for a fun weekend. It's a gorgeous part of Ireland!

Was there last weekend for Lisa McHugh and Derek Ryan. Top class weekend, great atmosphere and people. The bands in the pubs were brilliant, the crack, the dancing and the laughter was unreal.
